Welcome to my first blog post. Since I am new to the blogging world, I thought it would be a great idea to share all the great things I learned at WordCamp/PodCamp 2010 for my first post.
I attended my first WordCamp/PodCamp 2010 on June 19, which happened to be my 6th wedding anniversary. (My husband, good sport that he is, always supports anything I do to improve my knowledge of social media, even if it means spending a majority of the day away from me).
With nearly 35 sessions on blogging, WordPress, podcasting, SEO, and other social media topics, it was impossible to attend all, but difficult to decide which ones to attend. WordCamp Columbus/PodCamp Ohio bills itself as “The Newmedia and WordPress Unconference for Ohio and the vicinity.” This was a very casual conference, and attendees were encouraged to leave a session if they didn’t feel they were getting enough out of a particular session. In fact they even have rules.
Highlighted are three of the sessions I attended. If you attended a session not listed here, feel free to post a link to your blog if you would like to share information about the sessions you attended. I have a lot of content so this will be divided into three parts.
See next post for Part 1.
